I have thought about starting this thread at least once a week since I saw the dates for this years show get posted.
Joe and I will definately be there. I have already requested that Friday off of work so we can get out there Friday night and be ready bright and early Saturday morning. I have our hotel booked and everything already!!
Last year was also our first year and I still talk about it all the time. What an amazing experience - all the vendors and animals available was just beyond anything my imagination could conjure up and as you said - the dinner afterwards was awesome. It was great to meet everyone and talk shop over dinner as well as getting to know people a little more outside of the hobby.
I know in chat on Sunday night Don Soderberg said he was planning on being there unless something really drastic happened. I have to admit he was one of my favorite parts of dinner. What a completely amazing individual!!
I think this year can be even bigger and better than last year especially if we start talking about it early like this and getting people excited about going and meeting everyone.
I know that there are a few people in particular that I am hoping can make it down as I am dying to meet them and they know who they are!!  |
Same here... I couldn't wait to post about going this year. We're actually going the week before and making it our "big" vacation for the year.
Don was so funny at the dinner. Some of the stories he told were great. It was so cool to talk to everyone in person and get to know them a little better.
Last year I didn't know what to expect or who we would meet. This year we have a little better idea. We're looking forward to seeing you and Joe again. I agree about having a bigger group this year. Hopefully we can eat at the same place too. That was some good food... at least I thought so
