Smokescreen is my charcocoal het amel/aner thingy and had been gone since Thanksgiving. I'd pretty much given him up for loss when I noticed my cat staring at my stove. Looking behind the stove, I saw Smokescreen heading for the hole under the cabinets. I snagged him before I'd possibly lose him outside to the warming weather. He must have brumated in the house somewhere and the warm spring woke him up. He was rather cold. But that didn't stop him from snagging the fuzzy rat from me. Well that solves some problems of who I was breeding to who.
He's in pretty good shape. I'm just SO excited to see him again. He produced some beautiful babies with Ginrai last year. But she's getting bred to Erebus the amel bloodred since she's out of Mary. I figure he's going to get the Snow female. At least he should produce a few cute babies.
