Thought I'd update everyone on my new hatchlings. I wound up with 5 pretty little Candy Canes out of this clutch. I was waiting for their first shed to take pics of them but then I dropped my new (refurbished) camera and broke it!

Oh, something a little strange....in stead of hatching pretty much at the same time they hatched one a day, well two one day. LOL We did have one hatch that had one weird bulging eye and it was like a long open slit on his belly. He hadn't absorbed the yolk either so there was one loss.
I have a question too. It's on getting the little guys to eat. I waited for the first shed, took the damp moss from them, and gave them a each a tiny pink in their individual cups. They didn't eat so I left them over night with their meal....no luck. Waited three days, then I used the bump them with the food held by tongs thing to get them to take it. One would strike it over and over but wouldn't hold on to it. The others just kept trying to escape (like they of course always do when I have to do anything with them

). I again left their meals in with them overnight and also made it totally dark for them. One of them ate but the others refused. So how do I get the little guys to eat????? I expected a few problem eaters out of the 3 clutches (two more coming soon) but not most of them!

I'm afraid I'm getting kind of discouraged so if anyone has suggestions on what to do or not do I sure would like to hear them.
Thanks!
