Monster's clutch is hatching!
My nine year old female laid a small clutch this year, and they are hatching. So far all normals and a snow still in the egg. Was pretty funny the other day when they started, I didn't notice right away a head poking just out of the vermiculite from it's buried egg. I thought it was funny. Anyhow, these guys sure have lighter heads than their bodies. If you only saw the tail end first you'd think anery right away till you took a second closer look and found the red showing through. Very dark.
Fed the Charleston blood babies today, and so far, all have eaten. Good sign for some of those kids were pretty small. But likely the Charleston trait of being good feeders was passed on. Phew, don't need the difficult bloodred feeding traits!
Those hybrids are coming fast and funny, they all look basically the same. So didn't bother with more pics. Will wait till they've all shed.
Here are some pics of Monster's fresh out of the egg. Enjoy!
