Really... My Dad just got a new Nikon SLR, so his Nikon Coolpix went in the closet, so I asked if I could have it, even tho my Canon is better, he let me have it... its the most akward thing I've ever used... maybe its because I'm so used to be Canon?

It has the camera, extra telephoto lens, extra external flash thingy, according to my dad, he got it as consumer reports camera of the year of its time... BLEGH. Maybe I'd just need to take time to get to know it... but I'll take no such time, having a better camera than it

When I had Film Cameras, I loved my Fuji Cameras... that's about all I have to say about that... I have no experience with their Digital Cameras... I gave you my opinion on Digital. I think you should go ahead and go for your first option and go with the Canon...
