i have only had my corn snake since about jan. and was using zoo med Repti Bark (100% fir bark ) as this is what the place sold. it is not a large chain store and the owner has raised many snakes so i assumed it was okay. but i have been reading and it seems the majority of people use aspen. i was wondering if the bark is okay or if i should make the switch to aspen. would there be any more benefits to switching?????? and i know this is a silly question but changing substrates wouldn’t like super stress out my snake, would it? and when i look at the aspen it really doesn't look firm enough for the snake to crawl easily....but thats prob. just me...
