Well my season is off to a great start! This weekend was wonderful - 7 of the 8 eggs from Platinum hatched and I now have 4 aneries het lavender and possibly het diffused and 3 classics het anery and lavender and poss het diffused. There is one more egg that looks good but it has not pipped so I won't be surprised if it will be a DIE. I am none the less very pleased since I thought I missed the boat with her.

Ginny laid her eggs 16 days after her per lay shed and she gave me 18 (I think they are clumped and it is hard to count for sure) beautiful huge eggs. Right after she finished laying she had a small portion of her belly near her tail that was concave. It looked like the snakes with a collapsed lung. I was very worried but this morning she looked normal and ate a hopper! I used my het anery and diffused with Ginny - same boy as with Platinum.

Pimento laid her eggs a few days ago. She had me very worried as she was constantly pacing her tub and she was 17 days after her shed. I gave her a second lay box but she laid 17 perfect eggs without issue. The eggs are huge and little yellow pink in color but I already see veins in them! Woohoo!

I was also very excited this weekend since Tiger one of my Eastern Blackneck Garters finally gave it up for Billy the Kid. It is quite amazing to see a 50 g male have no fear and keep trying and trying and trying with a 180g female! He succeeded with my other slightly smaller girl last week and I am very excited I will have two clutches of these beautiful snakes!

Next up for me is Cohoe who was bred with her son and I am expecting ghosts and hypo snows. She is due to lay any day now. I am also waiting for Hermione to shed - Jesse James, ultramel poss het amel and motley, finally stepped up to bat! Platinum was bred with Chai again (het anery diffused) and I think she will shed any day too.

If Pimento, banded motley sunglow, recovers well I will try Jesse James with her since she double clutched last year on her own. All in all a very happy season for me so far. Murphy please stay away!
