Clutch 2008AB [king]
This clutch is partially in the cooker.
This is a pairing between my WC (2000) LTC Antioch, CA Cal King (M1) with my banded lavender Cal King.
One infertile egg was deposited about 3 or 4 days ago.
Six good looking eggs were deposited on Thursday May 8th.
By palpating her, I can still feel 3 eggs in her, but the next in line does not seem to have moved down towards the vent, so it is possible it is not fertile and is blocking the eggs behind it.
The purpose of this clutch (reason for the pairing) is to test the feeding phenotype of the young. 3 (of 5) of her young last year from a first time male required lizards to start, so I'm breeding her with a male known to father good rodent feeders to try and figure out if it was her or the male that influenced that clutch.
Expected result of the pairing - banded het Lavender. The father has quite a bit of webbing in his bands which sometimes translates to his young.
This clutch is 100% Cal King, not an intergrade. I'll post a pic of the clutch after the remaining eggs have been laid.
