Exclamation regurge: hate to bring this up

I have had a bit of a problem with my cornsnake regurging. 2 regurges, a successful pinky head feeding, then followed by a regurge of a very tiny pinky.
Concerned, today I contacted my vet to suggest perhaps bringing the regurge sample to him. He recommended to try feeding Lucy a little canola oil with a syringe and leave her 8-10 days and try refeeding her.
I have never seen anything like this posted here. Has anyone ever heard of trying that as a remedy??? I will be sure to offer it as a solution if this works. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope the next feeding goes OK. Next feeding will be in 10 days and I will offer only the first 3rd of a pinky to Lucy.
Will keep you informed
