double clutch my girl.

She looks like she's going to have her post lay shed in within a week and I wanted to double clutch her. The problem being if I do that as soon as she's shed she's going to lay while I on vacation. If I can wait three weeks that will give me a good time cushion. So, is it possible to mate her with my male between two and two and a half weeks after her post lay shed. I only ask because I've heard they're only receptive after the shed and I wanted some other opinions.
