Scale color.. hint of health?

My baby corn shed last night,

and his colors are dazzling from head to mid body, but look less pigmented.. kinda dulled or washed out.. from mid-body to tail. His old skin completely came off so it's not due to skin residue still stuck on the tail.

Any idea why there would be a slight discoloration? is it a sign of health status? is it simply normal as he regains his colors from head to "toe" first after shed?

I fed him yesterday night, if it's any help to him regaining his full spectrum.
