not sure what to tell you, as i am a site member, but I can see them without a problem. Might just be a flag that needs to be flipped in the settings that allow the forum to be read by all, but only posted in by a group.
I ran a forum through my site for a while, and when you lock a sub-forum to only allow opsing to a group, you have to be really careful as to how you set the reading access.
Admin, can you check and see that the for sale area is set to be viewable by all - including picture attachments?
