About Me: I love pets. I really do. Our house is full of them and I love coming home to them everyday. We have three cats (Chika, Bonnie, Pennie), three dogs (Ridy - LH Chihuahua, Walter - Wiener Dog, Fletcher - MinPoodle), one bird, two hermit crabs, two snakes (Olaf and Lenny) and one dearly departed bunny today, Oscar....
My cornsnake story:
I always loved snakes when I was younger, but I never really thought of getting one as a pet until last year. So an internet search of breeders lead me Hanney's Corns, and that further revealed that she would be attending an expo in Red Deer this past August. So I browsed her availables, and found my little Lenny, whom I excitedly picked up last August. Two weeks later, I was browsing the bargain finder to see that someone was selling an adult corn. So I picked up my little Olaf (who was underfed, neglected and VERY skiddish) and brought him home. They are both quite happy and well handled now. I hope to get more, but not until I build myself some type of shelving unit to store these guys.
I don't have any plans on breeding corns, at least not yet, so I think I will keep my fancy to strictly ownership. Perhaps if I fell in with the right crowd, they could persuade me otherwise. I would love to get myself a milksnake, a kingsnake, and more corns, but only time will dictate that!
I plan on staying here where we live for some time as I have a solid job and a trusty ol' house! What more could I want?
