About Oleander: She finally took a mouse in January (so that was 5 months refusing). After that she refused again so I tried a rat pup. She was quite thrilled with it. However, even now (in June) she has still not gained weight back to where she was last September. Basically she looks like a corn snake instead of a nice fat emoryi.

Her personality has also changed since she refused last fall. She is VERY nervous, does not hiss or strike any more - tries to flee constantly. Acts rather like a nervous wreck! This is a big contrast to her baby personality of trying to bite anything that moved and strangle it.

I have tried appetite enhanser with electrolytes and moving her back into a bin (from a tank). That has helped a little but I still hope she will calm down again and relax enough to gain more weight. Any other suggestions? She is eating fuzzy rat pups (about 2.5-3" body length) frozen/thawed if she is covered. If she is not covered she just tries to escape the feeding bin constantly.

Can snakes be agoraphobic?
