I was hoping my ultramel poss het motley, caramel and hypo would be big enough to mate with my banded sunglow female. He is under 200 g and and does not seem to be "ready" yet. I have put the two together several times but have seen no mating. I think he is scared of her! They have been on aspen so if they did mate I probably would have missed the evidence!
Tonight she seems very ready to mate. I believe she "flagged" him and the males in tubs near her are going nuts. They are all at the front of their tubs pacing! I have a male that I am now told looks like a sunkissed and I am pretty sure he would be up to the job. The kicker is we will be away for 5 days at the end of March beginning of April so it's now or never to put them together. I am afraid if I put the two together later she will lay the eggs while we are away and I will have put her through all this for nothing!
Opinions anyone?
The only other male I would consider putting her with is a butter male that is het for nothing as far as I know.
