Wo-hoo! Shimmer, my snow stripe bred to the snow that produced the yellow bordered yearling I have, is laying as I type! I've been checking on her only once a day for the past week, since she shed, being good not to bother her too much. I saw the jello butt a few days ago. I checked this morning and saw obvious signs of egg laying preparation; digging out a hollow, dirt on her head from burrowing. I had a feeling it would be today (exactly what I counted out on the calender from her breeding date). She's laid two big white eggs and has more in store. I'll check again when I come home tonight for dinner break. Let the season begin!
