behaviour of gravid corn

Hi there
Finally got Kathy Loves book and it says there that snakes can retain sperm for when they are ready to ovulate....
Bearing in mind I am in the uk and the climate is chilly and she was in with a male rat snake most of december.
He seems to be entranced by her chasing her and they were often entwined. Then one day he was up on a branch in the viv and appeared to be nervous of her. She was moody so separated them once more. I know I was struggling with the ambient temps around then so it was on the cool side.

She ate loads over the next couple of months ....whilst he put himself into hiberbation-eating again now. Ambient temps are ok now and warmed up alot in day with spring.

The last couple of months she has been off food apart from two occasions.

She shed last week. Since then she has gone into hiding after a bizarre month where she was 'searching' for something and rubbing her nose on her glass door. I have provided two nesting sites and she is a touch moody.

Had to get her out the other day to remoisture them and she had quite dry skin despite shed and was hydrated fine. She did not want to be handled and has a bumpy appearance under her tummy so took pics whilst I was able-will post if that will help.
