While I have seen some abberant pattern in the parents, I did this breeding of daughter to father to attempt to confirm whether he had passed on his hypo gene to this daughter. Hatching began yesterday and there are a couple that look like this -
There is still a remnant of belly pattern pushed far to the sides and side pattern is quite reduced compared to the normals in the clutch.
And if you think that sibling is too orange to be a regular amel - these are the parents - the male is a creamsicle (from what I know he is from multiple generations of creamsicle parents) and the female is his daughter from a breeding to a pure emoryi.
the parents of this clutch
the pure emoryi grandmother
I will have to get some better pics of the hatchlings tonight once they are all out - but a couple of the creamsicles and several rootbeers have bald heads, lack of side pattern and clear bellies. Will be a lot of keepers in this clutch,
thanks for looking,
mary v.
