what do you do with your hatchlings

hi i was just wondering what you all do with you hatchlings do you keep them all together or separate them
i separate them i did keep them together for a short till a couple of years a ago my father in law had a hatchling eat hatchling within 24 hours of birth i now take them out and tub them as soon as i see them
