Okay, this was my first year breeding corn snakes. My first pair went 'by the book'. The second? Not at all. I paired her (Amel Hurricane Mot) up with the prettiest Hypo Lav you've ever seen. Nada. She did everything to entice him, but he wasn't interested. Ticks me off cause I paid a pretty penny for him. We tried two times with the same result. About a week later I briefly tried a Normal het for Mot and Diffusion... didn't see any activity at all. Then, two weeks later I threw in my Blizzard and wa-la ... hook up. Much to my surprise, she laid two weeks later... No bother, I thought... it was probably the Hypo Lav when I wasn't looking... but I'd know when they hatched - Hypo Lav = Normals... Normal = Normals and Mots ... Blizzard = Amels
The first two out were Normals... "sweet" I thought.. the Hypo Lav was just sneaky... then out came some Mots, then an amel... then a snow!!! So my Amel mot is het for Anery... no surprise there... and well, all three got a go at her LOL... I have no idea.. but they're fat and cute and most importantly all took f/t washed pinks the first time I offered.... hehe I love em. check out the odd side pattern on this Motley...
