Not really sure they are considered hybrid (I am considering them as so), but I did a corn (lava het anery) X Kisatchie. Was curious to see what I will get. She is full of eggs right now and should lay in the next 2-3 weeks.

I know someone who is planning to breed pines to corns and hondurans. I'm on the list for some of those.
That would be some interesting crosses... Know what they are going to call them yet?

I would go with Hybrid. If the Corn was a normal, with no hets, then I would go with Intergrade...

Caroline,
Let me know what becomes of this. I'm very interested in Kisatchies, although it seems so up in the air if they are an intergrade, locality corn, or a whole new species.... All the bickering is driving me nuts. I'm glad to see there are some people doing something with them instead of standing around picking their noses..
Thanks!

Now, now, how can recesive mutant genes change whether a Corn is a Hybrid or intergrade?
What would you consider the babies from this pairing Joe?

Huh? not the Corn labeled as the Hybrid, the offspring of the two species, with the mutant genes...
I was under the impression that Intergrades are crosses that can occur naturally in the wild on a regular basis... Creamsicles are labeled Hybrid... maybe because the odds of an Amel gene carrying Corn breeding an Emoryi in the wild are pretty slim... then two Rootbeers carrying the Amel gene just happen upon each other.... How about the odds of two recesive mutant genes in the same snake crossbreeding naturally in the wild, then back again... I think intervention plays a role in these.... but that's my .02c
