With the comparison of Lava and Normals in the clutch, the suspected Lava, seems very likely to be a Lava. I also see some Ice/Diamonds, that appear to have black smudges where black is not suppose to be. It is hard to tell in photos.
Is this a clutch that shows the leaky Lava gene? Will it only leak smudges of black, or can the amount of leaking be seen in various shades of color and melanin reduction in Lavas?
Wish I could be of help but I haven't produced a lava charcoal yet. Those look very iceish to me but I bet with sheds and growth there will be a difference if they are the lava charcoals. WOW....good luck nonetheless! And what odds....are these all from one clutch???
Yeah, these are from a 17 egg clutch. The outcome was 4 normals, 3 ice/diamond/whatevers, 3 lavas and 1 lavaish darker snake, one definite anery, and the rest look charcoally.
I'll repeat what most have said "WOW" what a great looking bunch!! I can hardly wait to see them after their first shed (and down the road!!!)
Nice group Connie!!
