Test Breeders/Star Gazers to come available

I just wanted to post a general notice that I may be letting a few actual star gazer animals go this season to interested parties that are committed to testing out stock and are willing to be up front with their plans for the offspring (either cull or being used as testers for others). The gazers have done better than I expected and are growing nicely. I don't feel the need to keep them all anymore as they are doing so well, but will hold on to a pair of the biggest for myself. I also have several 67% possible het star gazers that may come available if there is interest.

There are plans in the future to produce known hets if the stargazers are able to breed (and at this time I see no reason why they'd be unable), but not until next year at the earliest.

Just wanted to give a heads up as I've had inquiries over the past year.

Feel free to contact me if you have interest. I will likely be distributing these animals where I feel they can do the most good, so please if you contact me, give me some specifics on what your intended plan is for them and your plan for their offspring.

Connie

Edit to add: the animals I am speaking of are yearlings and currently on rat pinks/small pups. Some of the het males are breeder sized, others are subadult sized.

This sounds like a good plan to me. I will contribute out of the egg SG and pHs to anybody that acquires these viable SG’s for shipping costs. If it can be done and you want to do it, I say it is a good idea.

OK, everyone, the listing of what I have available is currently up. I've got a list already and people are getting to choose in the order they were placed on the list, so reservations have begun.

The website currently just shows what I have available. Chuck will be adding 2.2 possible hets (67% poss het stargazing, known het sunkissed) that were from the second clutch, so they're a bit smaller than the ones already listed. These will be posted when I get photos, weights, and info on them.

Here's a link to what's available:
CCCorns - Available

I will be updating the page as each person decides. Names will be shown with permission only. If the people remain to stay anonymous, that is their right, but I show the names if permissed to give people wishing to obtain testing animals people to contact.

The list is complete and the selection process has begun.

CCCorns - Available

The homozygous gazers will be gone after the next person, but we've got several 67% possible hets available. Since without a test cross there are no proven hets currently, this is the highest probability you can get right now unless you are lucky enough to get a known het from someone that has already done the work for you. All of the 2007's offered are known het or homo for Sunkissed as well, so they may make good double testers if they prove out.

I will be marking animals as they are reserved. People who have authorized their names to be shown will be marked on the list so that people wishing in the future to try and obtain testers have some people to contact.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me (email address on the website and in my sig). The people who I have been in contact with already have their place in line and I'll be contacting them one by one to make their selections.
