2006 Hypo A X Creamsicle

This breeding was planned to establish whether my hypo female was het amel and to produce rootbeers that were het for hypo with the intention of using them to develop cinnamons (hypo A emoryi/corns) down the road. I waited intently hoping for creamsicles from this clutch, but actually had cinnamons emerge. One of the most exciting clutches I have ever hatched - I was so suprised because I had no indication from the person I bought the male creamsicle from that he could possibly carry hypo A.

The pair - quite the size discrepancy, she is not a small female and he is over 900 grams - hatched in 2001.

The hypo female - I like her color and regular saddle pattern

The creamsicle male - in looking at him now that I know he is het hypo, I wonder if the very reduced saddle borders he has are a reflection of that influence. This guy is one of my favorite corns - one of our foundation breeders - he is a permanent fixture here!

and a rootbeer - I love this girl - no real need for her in my breeding plans but I doubt I will sell her - just like her attitude and coloring

will update this thread as the keepers from these mature - thanks for looking,

That cinnamon is definitely my favorite - she has such light, crisp color. The rootbeer is a very dark red in her saddles - quite unusual for snakes from creamsicle lines where the red tends to get diminished by the creamsicle influence. I am interested to keep her and see if she retains the strong red color as she matures.

thanks to both of you for the comments,

mary v.
