I am just letting these guys get established before bothering them for many more pictures, but I am pretty thrilled with them. The creamsicles have very dense orange color and the bloodroots are showing good diffusion - hopefully will mature with rich tones.
I feel very lucky to have uncovered this gene in these lines - especially great because they are coming from an outcross to pure emoryi so should have good genetic diversity despite the inbreeding,

You have some Wonderous babies. Greatly enjoyed seeing you again. Are you comingup for the show in Edmonton? I managed to hatch my first Cinnamin ,thought she looked special. the second shed proved it. Hope to see you soon. "Crush" is doing well.

Some updated photos - these guys are growing well and most are feeding regularly now. Some have had their second shed and I managed to get a few photos yesterday. The bloodroots show better diffusion - they have quite a bit of reduction in side pattern and very clear bellies and there are some that have the belly stripe suggestive of het blood.
This is one of the better ones with a nice clear head pattern and side diffusion and no clear belly checkers - but quite a bit of belly color
and a possible het diffused with some side diffusion and reduced belly pattern
and a normal rootbeer with a typical belly pattern
and one with a clear central line
creams in the next post

The creamsicles from this clutch have very intense orange color and none of them show much diffusion of side pattern although they may have reduced belly pattern or a lack of checkers with a sort of shattered pattern on the belly - the level of orange is very intense except for one pale individual
This one is dark orange with a rather shattered belly pattern - few checkers at the front but diffuse color further back
This is the pale one - in shed in this photo, but almost as faded compared to the rest and has a normal belly pattern
reduced head pattern on this one and no belly pattern to speak of
again a reduced head pattern and some belly pattern - no clear belly lines in the creamsicles
last one - no belly pic of this one, but a cute one of her in her water dish - she was too fiesty to sit still for the belly pic
These guys have very energetic temperaments - nothing like pure corns - they are so much more active - a real blast.
thanks for looking,
mary v.
