Good and bad

First the bad news ... last weekend I moved most of my 06 Corns into some Vision racks we have. The racks have holes above each of the bins that are definitely too small for a yearling to go through. What I didn't realize was in the back of the rack above each bin there are 4 slightly larger holes (which are now now covered). Last night I was feeding and realized I was missing 2 corns... our Dilute Anery Mot and F Cinder. Shhhh_____t!!!! (shoot ) Murphy would probably say... if you loose 2 out of 32 snakes moved they're going to be the more expensive ones. Lol. I can't tell you how angry and frustrated I was last night over this discovery. We took the reptile room apart looking but only found a shed from the Dilute. We have 3 cats that can't get in the reptile room but the rest of the house isn't safe for the snakes as far as the cats go. Last night after finally going to bed I couldn't get to sleep and every time I heard one of the cats run down the hall it made me wonder. I went to bed a little sick to my stomach over the whole deal but I'm better today. I had to remind myself this morning that in the grand scheme of things... it's only a snake and a hobby. There are far worse things that could happen. Hopefully they'll turn up in the near future but if not... live and learn.

Now for the good news. Lol. Our F het Amel, Anery, Hypo, Stripe that was bred with our Ghost Stripe started laying eggs this morning which is our first eggs of the year. That was nice to see this morning.
