Another "never give up hope" thread

The pre-story.....

Earlier tonight I found the cats all grouped around something upstairs and was hoping it was the cinnamon hatchling that has been missing for about a month. Sadly, it was just a cricket.

The rest of the story.....

Ok, so my little '06 cinnamon girl escaped from her tub about a month ago and with all the crap in our house, I just offered a prayer for her safe keeping and figured she was gone. Tonight, as I'm sitting at the computer, I see the cats all acting weird again (just like they had been acting with the cricket) next to the desk. I glance over and there's the cinnamon wriggling along the door frame, trying to get under the desk and away from the cats! She's about as far from the snake room upstairs as she could get. I grabbed her and she struck at me, which for once I knew was probably coming and didn't care about, then she settled into my hand and let me carry her up to her safe and warm tub where fresh water waited. I kept her tub ready just in case she returned. She's cold and I'm hearing a clicking noise, either from RI or from pre-shed or ?? so I'll be keeping a close eye on her and see if she'll eat a teeny pink this w/e. She didn't appear to be hurt in any way, just cold and frightened. Maybe I should call her Lassie.

To all of you who are "missing" snakes, remember that they can and will turn up in the most unexpected ways!
