1 red scale

Tonight I am down in the snake room checking out everyone and stop at Salsa. She is rich in chocolate brown and her circle on top of her head down her back almost look lavender/pink, typical anery. Nothing overly special about her, she 's just really pretty to me. I notice tonight that a near her tail she has a red scale (?) I brought her up into the natural light to inspect it; tried to rub it off; water wipe it off.. nope it is still there. Its not a scrape or scratch.

Is it normal for her to have a red scale all of a sudden? I will post pictures tomorrow that I am sure will be better than me trying to describe it but it looks like a little dab of paint was splashed on her.

Is it common to have this? I'm sure there are people on here who know, I googled it but found nothing.

Anyone?
