Lost my first one....

While cleaning tubs last night, I came to find Marguerite, my sweet bloodred (66% het lav and hypo), belly up.

The frustrating part is that she showed no signs of distress or "neurological deficiencies"....she seemed just fine at her last feeding.

The really frustrating part is, of course, the "big plans" I had for her. Given her genetics, she was destined to be the foundation for my diffused lav/diffused hypo lav project, and this sets me back a year. Of my 20 corns, if I had to choose one to die on me, she was at the bottom of the list.

Murphy is messing with me, and I don't even have eggs on the ground this year.

I'm going to miss her adorable disposition - she would literally want to slither up my arm once the tub was opened.

Goodbye, little one. You'll be missed.
