traveling with hatchling?

in august (25-26) there is a reptile expo in Red Deer, Alberta. i am planning to go this this event and may purchase another corn hatchling. the problem is that the expo is in alberta while i live in Saskatchewan. if i purchased the corn on sat. (the 25) i would need to keep it for 1-3 days plus a 6 hour ride home. I am still relatively new at owning a corn snake and am not sure how to go about creating a mobile home that he will be ok in for a few days. i was thinking a small durable hatchling tub with substrate and hide, but the only way i could think to keep up the temp would be disposable heat pack? we are going to be staying at a relatives house so if neccesary, for the few days i can use a conventional uth. if anyone has any suggestions on how to transfer a corn from one place to another--including a car ride--i would appreciate it as i have never done it before.
