Should I eat?

A couple days ago on feeding day - I had an uneaten fuzzy.

My motley lavender fed well - he's a good feeder, he's the kind of feeder where you can give him exercise by holding the rodent just out of reach and making him chase it around the tub, and then play tug-a-war once he grabs ahold of it.

Anyway - he had eaten a nice meal, but I decided to use him as the disposal for the uneaten fuzzy. Since he had eaten already, no chase - I just put it in with him.

He approached it - smelled it, then backed off. Then came back, opened his mouth to eat it, then backed off. He repeated this several times before finally deciding not to - at which point I fed it to my Okeetee (who took it immediately).

Anyway - I guess he was really tempted but wasn't sure if he really could stuff another rodent in his belly or not - it was kind of neat to watch though.

He seems to have hit a growth spurt - which is why I was using him as the disposal (usually I use the Okeetee - she eats anything all the time, in blue or not, I don't think she's ever refused a meal) - but I guess he knows his limit

Anyway - watching snakes make decisions and trying to figure out what is going through their mind is one of the things I enjoy trying to do.
