Note: Use this feature only if you wish to have your pictures appear in your posts (within a description, paragraph, ect.). If you wish to keep your attachments at the bottom of your posts, simply attach them the way you normally would.
This section of the forum is set up so that images posted must be made as attachments, so that they may be preserved on the site's server and won't disappear later on as with some free hosts. By default, attachments are placed at the bottom of your posts. However, there is a vBulletin tag designed to let you put attachments in the actual body of your post as they would be with the [img] tag.
To use this feature, first attach your image to your post using the Manage Attachments button at the bottom of the posting panel.
Once you have attached your picture(s), click the name of your attachment as shown here:
Look toward the top of your browser window at the address of your new attachment. Within the address is the attachment ID (underlined below). Copy the number only (circled below).
Next, you will be using the [attach] tag to put your attachment within your post. Open the [attach] tag (by typing [attach]). Paste the number you copied earlier after the [attach] tag. Now close the tag by typing [/attach]. The finished tag should look something like this:
[attach]20[/attach]
Preview your post and check that your image appears within your post. If it worked, the images should appear within your post the way the above examples did.
