Breeding # 3 Karma vs Bloodred het charcoal

This is a breeding to prove out Karma's het charcoal. Last season she gave me some anery babies. So she's either het anery and charcoal, or just anery. This breeding will tell the truth.

Karma: Normal het anery ( proven) charcoal ( ?)


( for those who remember, I will be having a guess the eggs contest again this year )

Bloodred het charcoal (proven last year) whom I don't seem to have pics of by himself.

Well, it was wasted spermies on that mating. My lil gal is still eating ( which is not unusual for her, she never goes off food), no shed, no enhancements of her girly figure.... so much for my hopes of early babies She's been reintroduced several times with the same male over the last couple weeks. She came out of brumation weighing 720g in mid Jan, and pre-meal today she is 851g. Definately packing on the weight but I'm doubting she is ready as of yet.

After talking with Ruth, who has been noticing the pattern of her brumated females not being ready untill after their second shed, I'm finding this to be also true. Karma has not had her second shed yet. My patience is waining(sp).

Karma is entering shed now. I am doubting it's a prelay as she does not look as heavy as she did when gravid last year. As well, on Sat. she pounded back 3 adult mice. When gravid she does not quit eating, but her prey is usually smaller than normal ( normal is a small rat, which I was out of, so she got the adult mice). We shall see if she breeds after her shed or not.

This was like a month ago.. but I'm wondering what happened with these two?

I'm really not sure yet to tell you the truth. She's just beginning to clear up, so I expect her to shed in the next 3-4 days..... She's weighing in at 888 as of today, she was 848 on Mar. 2. After she sheds I'm going to reintroduce her to the male, and see if they mate.... if they don't, then maybe she is gravid. I hope

It could be as I've been thinking. Last year when she was gravid, she was smaller pre-eggs. This year she's larger, so maybe I'm just not noticing the filling out as much as I did last year

Just looked over my info on her breeding history, and she's weighing in less now, than she did when she was gravid last year. Hmmmmm. I really don't know. Will have to wait and see what happens after she sheds, but after all my thinking, I'm doubting she is gravid currently

Miss Stubborn lil witch, Karma..... shed today... and I noticed Mr. " I can smell a woman in heat" Ramses, with his nose pressed againt his container..

hmmmmmmmmmmm.....

So enter Mr. Bloodred, who promptly * no icon for this action* investigates and....


Duty done Mr. Bloodred returns to his container, and Karma eats a nice juicy rat.
