Video of Hyra laying her first egg

Thanks to someone on another site, he was able to resize my video small enough that I could upload it.

As I posted elsewhere, I was privledged enough to witness Hyra ( my hypo motley) laying her first egg. Which was an overwhelming experience.

It took her on average 15-20mins to lay the first egg. The video is of the "most productive" part of her doing such. It was such an exciting time for me, as I have never caught any of my snakes laying the first egg.

So without furthur blabbering, here's Hyra, laying her first egg.

Thank you Christina....that was pretty awesome. I will have to admit, my legs eased themselves a little closer together during that process as I thought I was feeling her pain. And to be honest, I almost caught myself "umph'ing" and pushing to try and help....."Come out already".....
O.K. I am sounding like a freak, I had better go.

Anyway, awesome video and thank you very much for sharing.

LOL.... don't worry, I was sitting there as still as could be, resisting the urge to yell " PUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH baby PUSH"!!!!! Everytime I saw that eggie start to come out, then disappear again, I was thinking of PUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. LOL.

It was interesting to watch.

I knew she was due to lay, just didn't know when. I just happened to check on her, and she just had that look. I took the lid of the nest box, halfway. I put it on the box covering where her head was, in hopes that if she couldn't see me, it wouldn't stress her out too much.

Which I don't think it did. She totaled 21eggs, and I'm offering her food today.

So it takes a long time for the first egg, or all the eggs?
