Launching the Baby Gallery!

Well now that the clutches have begun pipping I'm hoping to get the Baby Gallery launched by the weekend. I've taken a few pics of the new arrivals from clutches #1 and #6 but am really not happy with them.

My snake room just doesn't have the lighting that best shows off just how cute they are, so I'm going to have Jeff help me on Saturday. I find the best photos are had when I can pose them (if you can really pose a hatchling... ) while Jeff keeps them still.

Here's some practice shots just because I can't wait to show them off... Sorry for the blurry shots but exploring their new surroundings seem to be the only thing they are interested in.

From Clutch # 1 Ramses x Calypso, here's the first 'planned' Ultramel we've hatched at HanneysCorns and a sweet little Normal, het butter, ph ultra. (Just to clarify...we've had two years of hatching ultramels...we just didn't know they were ultramels until we'd proven out Ramses was indeed het Ultra)

From Clutch # 6 Ramses x Fleur, here's two of the Caramels, het hypo with possibles of ultra, anery.

Hopefully there will be official photos sometime on Saturday.

Well now I understand how this baby hack works.

Jeff helped me this evening and I've taken pictures of 4 of the 6 hatchlings from Clutch #1...the Ultramel clutch, and so far there are 3 Ultramels and 3 Normals. From Clutch #6...the Caramel clutch, we have what looks like 3 caramels out of 7 babies. The normals have an interesting appearance; I can actually see the borders outlining the saddles and with most normal hatchlings I've had, I don't remember it being so obvious before.

I'd love to post pictures but I have to wait until the entire clutch hatches...there's only one 'kick at the cat' so to speak with each baby clutch thread. I don't want to break up the clutch, so I'll just have to be patient...hmmm...where have I heard that before...

When the babies are ready for sale, I'll start a separate thread with pricing and availibility dates.

I forsee the Baby Gallery should be ready over the weekend.

Well...maybe I'll sneak a hatchling or two into this thread...they are just so cute.
