The 2008 Keeper Closet...

When I started the breeding season I promised myself minimal holdbacks. Have I been good? Sure have...if I keep taking them off the 'keeper shelf' and put them in the 'keeper closet', then I'll never have more than the 10 I regulated myself to holding back.... I just love my logic...no, I guess I just love my corns.

Sooooo....I thought I'd make a thread just for the '08 Keepers. Here we go!

The Caesar x Fleur clutch (08CaFl01) was the start of the downward slide of being over my quota. I just had to keep Yukon (suspected UltraCaramel) and Ophelia (suspected Ultra) to test out my suspicions in 2011 or 2012.





Salsa is remaining behind because of all the Reverse Okeetees, she has the most intriguing pattern with her diagonal saddles.



These two boys just had to stay for sure...both are from my quad het (lavender, amel, charcoal, bloodred) clutch. I'm still not fully convinced these are just a 'lavender' and a 'blizzard', so of course they will remain for future testing. Here's Mozart and Comet.





Phantom Motleys are in the future here and these are the little gems that hopefully one day will allow me to produce a few of my own. These very light normals (perhaps they are hypos...they were chosen for their light appearance and vigorous appetite) are het hypo, charcoal and motley.





And let's not forget the 'crazy clutch'...is it or is it not an Anery Striped Blood? Here's my keeper (on the advice of Rich Hume), Gadsby...



From the Banded Crimson project, here's one of the females who will remain behind...Capri...



Sooo...as I hide them away in the closet ( ) out of Jeff's scrutinizing view, my keeper shelf empties and there is more room for 'just a few more'. Who says there isn't method to my madness?

As more disappear from the shelf, I'll post them here...why not...out of sight...out of mind. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thats an awesome idea....must use it when I start my own guys off breeding! Closet not shelf.
Loving the keepers and the reasons for keeping them Salsa, Mozart and Comet particularly but your phantom motley project looks to be fun! Good Luck with those!

Beautiful snakes and pictures. As usual! They're all very beautiful. I can't even say which one I like the most...Maybe the reverse, I do like the blizzard also... The rosy color I like alot.
