A little space to call ours - welcome

Thanks for taking the time to check out our corner of the site. Herper's Delite is comprised of Kevin & myself, our children and our ~70 snakes/various reptiles.

Our passion for caring, keeping, enjoying and learning about reptiles is a large portion of our lives (Kevin even dreams about them.. I just have dreams...errr nightmares about the crickets) but we love it to be that way (minus the nightmares of course).

Our history (snake style) in brief:
Kevin first bought Rizzo (snow corn) back in '03 when we got together. He wanted a pet which didn't shed (fur) and didn't smell (like a cat or a hamster). Little did he know he was going to be moving into Noah's Arc soon after.

Rizzo sparked it all; opened up a new and exciting interest for us both. The internet became a place where we could be junkies for learning about them and making wish lists.

We have both learned the wish lists will never be totally fulfilled, for new and exciting breeds and morphs are being made/discovered all the time .. we are more than happy with that.. it actually keep us going.

Hope you enjoy your browse around & thanks for dropping by.

Denise

Welcome to the neighbourhood Denise and Kevin!

It's great having you here!

I remember those cricket days too. I thought I slept in the forest every night...

Thanks for the welcome guys! I'm sure Denise will be posting up pics now every day with something new or just shed. Finally witnessed a couple lock-ups tonight, but they are both non-corn related. First is a pair of Macklot Pythons (one of my favorite snakes in the world). Second was a pair of Guyana Rainbow Boas. Pretty rare to see up here, and hopefully something happens with them in the next few months. Very neat little guys, that's for sure, and I am definitely excited about them. Thanks again, and you have been warned about Denise's picture posting addiction!!

Geez Kevin, last year we came home from Red Deer with a Dumeril for Jeff...so all things are possible...

Don't worry about a lavender, hopefully we'll have Lavenders and some really interesting lavender hets combined with blood and stripes, just to make them really tempting...
