A few months back I purchased a female blood red stripe, and a So called Lemon peal blizzard. Thrown in for free was a female bloodred that had been bred to young and had prolapsed.
Long story short- the female blood was under nourished big time and regurged her 2 first meals and died. I didn't expect her to live anyway.
The Blizzard female had a pretty severe respiratory infection, that I only found out when I got home. I spoke with some very experienced breeders from this forum and we put her on a plan. High temperature no water(Just offered every 2 days for a few hours) it seemed that she was doing better but it has been a few months now and she is not doing well at all. a week or 2 ago she started some scabbing around her mouth , so I have been treating this with a betadine/peroxide solution twice a day. But it is not getting any better. she is very slow and seems disoriented. I believe I will be euthanizing her, we both gave it a good shot.
I didn't take her to a vet as the closest Herp vet would be about 2 hours away ad I believe this would be stressful on her.
And last but not least- I believe the Blood red stripe female is a male!!!!!
