Help, I think my snake is really sick!

I have been posting over the last few weeks regarding my first snake's health.

Tonight my boyfriend was watching him closely and noticed that he pooped/peed in a corner. I was glad, as I have been unable to catch him doing this, or find anything in his cage. But then when I saw it, I was not so glad.

His poo/pee came out clear for the most part, but there were small globs of bright green in it. I quickly looked this up on the internet, and I found one site that said it could be salmonella poisoning.

How could this have happened? He has never been fed on a dirty surface. He has always had a clean home. His pinkies have been thawed fully and at room temperature whenever given to him. I always make sure that any instruments that I have used when feeding him have been sterile as well.

I will be calling the vet immediately tomorrow morning, now that I have proof other than his strange behavior, that something really is wrong, and that it is not just stress.

If anyone else has ever had this happen before, I would really like to hear about it. I would like to know what you did to make the animal healthy, or if there was anything you could do period.

Thank you all so much.

Von
