humidity!

hey all, im new to snakes and just got my tank up and running with thermostat and heat mat set at 85degree and cool side is 74degrees. the humidity is too high, its showing 85%, there is plenty of ventilation at boths sides of the lid and ive put in a smaller water bowl but its still high, the substrate is dry,as is all the rocks,logs ect..
i have no idea what to do!!
anyone help me?
