Food for thought

The bizarrest thoughts get stuck in my head. So, I thought I would share. :P

As we age, toxins build up in the body - environmental, free radicals, whatever. It stands to reason something similar would happen with mice, in spite of their relatively short lifespans (the lifespan being compensated for by the higher metabolism they have - at least, I think they have higher ones). Or do I just need to go sleep?

So, with that in mind, would it be better (whatever "better" is) to feed snakes younger prey items that haven't built up the same level as adults would have? For example, instead of a single adult mouse of 24 grams, would a pair of 12 gram weanlings be a healthier meal?

I'm a little torn on the double-prey-item thing, too. I've read that two items are harder to digest, but I've also read that a single large item is harder to digest. No scientific study referenced in either reading, so I'm curious about others' opinions on both questions.

Gah, lemme hit send so this will quit rattlin' around in my head.
