irregular behavior and activity

sorry, I didn't know where to post this:
So I am having a weird problem with my snake. Just yesterday, when I tried to hold him, he started this weird sneezing thing. At first I thought “maybe it is a respiratory infection” and started to get nervous. I watched him and realized that he was only doing it when I tried to touch him. When I put my finger on his skin, he would convulse and make this burst of air. Any time after that, if my finger was near him, he would make this same noise. So I searched online and came up empty handed, completely. He has also been sitting and sleeping in an irregular place. Normally it’s in his log or on his tree, but he is sitting in the corner of his tank furthest from me by the glass.
Thinking of things that might be wrong, I’d realized he hadn’t pooped in a while. With the possibility of him being constipated, I used the bathtub trick (of course, however, I changed his water and grabbed him when he was moving). Sure enough, he largely pooped. After that had happened, he seemed grateful and went back to his loving self. I held him for quite a while. Thinking to make his day even more better, I changed his tank, so that he would have new dirt to dig around in (it is one of his favorite things to do). He seemed to love it and was very happy. However, after I returned home from my outing today, I tried to hold him and play with him again (nothing out of the norm), and he began making the noise again. He seems aggressive like he might strike me. He doesn’t seem to be making the “S” shape with his neck (thank god).
The only time he has ever struck at me was when I gave him mulch that irritated him. That is the only time aside from now that his behavior has been irregular. Any ideas? I changed his water again just incase he was dehydrated, and I have been watching the temperature in his cage and it’s been the prescribed temperature.

I could also inform that he was moved around, but it’s been a couple weeks since then and he is eating regularly. The only things I could think, would be that I upgraded his food twice now, and maybe it is not sitting right with him? He is almost 2 feet long and is a year and a half and seems to get it down fairly easily.
