Handling

Hi everyone,

I have another newbie question with regards to handling. I have read in books (include Kathy Love's web site) to leave a new snake alone for three days. Sunday will be the third day and we are going to feed him around 4pm. When is the best time to start handling them? I have read that it is best to begin with gentle handling. I am guessing that would mean holding the snake or letting him move through your fingers and over your hand while it is placed in the habitat. But when is it a good time to take him out of the habitat and just let him roam in our hands? I don't want to go too long without handling him because then I may be dealing with socialization issues. I prefer not to go through that with a snake. (I already have this issue with my one dog and it's tough)

Any suggestions? What does everyone else do? I want to be sure Sevy is relaxed with both my husband and myself. I just want to keep him happy and confortable.

Thanks,
Danielle
