I'm not certain what to make of my Luna's behaviour lately... not that I'm overly concerned as she's not hurting herself or anything, but it is out of the ordinary so I thought I see what anyone else thinks. Okay, okay, enough of the 'disclaimer' portion of my post...
On Sunday morning I got up and noticed Luna was quite active. She appeared to have been burrowing all over and even managed to push her water dish up and over a good couple inches. I immediately associated the behaviour with the likelihood that it was because she was due to be fed the same evening. I fed her that evening (1 small-medium hopper and 2 pinkies) and staightened out the water dish, etc. It was clear she was hungry as she even nipped me (first time) in her aggression to get her food. Now usually she lays pretty low for the next day or so to digest, but not this time. Monday evening she was back at doing the same thing; burrowing all over the place and acting restless in general.
I'm not certain if this is 'normal' behaviour or not, but I definitely know this isn't her usual behaviour. Could I be under-feeding her?? Or could this be due to other factors?? Or am I just being overly-concerned?? I don't know her age as I found her this summer, but she's approximately 3+ feet long and roughly the width of a sharpie marker. I've been feeding her mice that are either the same size as the largest part of her body or bit larger. I've also been feeding her on a 5-day schedule.
