Young Creamsickle w/ tough shed

Hi all, glad to have found this great forum,

My little creamsickle shed a month ago, and everything looks good, except about an inch of the tail skin didn't come off. I have soaked him in warm water a bit, and put a tub with moist paper towels in it in his cage, to no avail. I have let it stay for a while, but now it seems he's growing and the tail section is staying smallish...I'm worried!!

Thanks in advance!
Jim
