This guy has had 2 bad sheds in a row. He will most likely loose his tail tip too.
Long story short is:
1st incomplete shed...(last 1/4 on tail still unshed)
I did not notice him go blue, although I easily noticed it on our caramel girl, so I never increased the humidity etc.
Put him in a tub with damp aspen and held him with wet cotton gloves and all came off.
This time noticed him go blue last Tuesday. Added the wet paper towels to all the hides.
Put him in a separate container with warm wet paper towels and a hide 3 days ago and then again last night.
Last night took about an hour but shed and poo'd.
Still areas on his tail and scattered scales along his body that were still attatched.
Let him crawl through my wet gloved hands and got all off. (although I noticed this morning a songle dry scale behind his 'ear' is still there.)
I have neosporin on the tail tip now.
My immediate concern is his vent area. Is this incomplete shed or something or is it normal looking to you all???
He is an '07 Charcoal Hypo.
Eating and pooing fine.
Thank you everyone...
This shows his vent area of concern (no patterning like the rest of his tummy) and tail.
To show just his tail.
