Any updates on this guy? You certianly have peeked some interest around here, I am very interested to see what his offspring look like, I'm hoping that he has successfully "done the deed" a few times with your ghostie girl and in the months to come we'll see what amazing prizes lie inside!
Thanks for inquiring Lore. Well so far he hasn't shown much interest in either of the girls when I'm around but then I've had them in/out with him over the last while just to see the reaction.
Casper, the ghost female doesn't seem to avoid him when they are together; I just don't see the action as of yet. I have been allowing each of the females to remain with him for 24-48 hours at each attempt. He's such a shy boy, maybe he likes to perform in secret. Casper is taking down regular meals still, but then she's one who eats right up to pre-lay shed. Have to go by 'feel' with her. I'm going to try again with her off and on over the next week with the hopes that I catch her cycle.
Candy, the amel female may be a little more co-operative. Since being introduced to Ben, she's been acting a little 'different' than normal. She very seldom refuses to eat, but last Thursday turned up her nose at a f/k mouse which is unusual for her...so maybe this is a good sign! If she refuses this week, then I'll be highly suspicious. Last year's breeding of Candy to Gryphon, our opal, put her off food within 2 weeks of being bred...so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
He's looking good! I'm hoping to get my hypo bullsnake boy to take to a normal corn het snow. If not, maybe the corn/bull I've got will do the job. I can't wait to see your babies from this project!
