Rootbeer anybody?

This is my 06 rootbeer from SMR. She is het amel, but the cool thing is she is het for amel from Don's "yellow creamsicle" line. I am curious to see if she will throw extremely yellow offspring when crossed with a butter. The offspring would only be 1/4 cream, but I guess I could still get some nice thick ones outta the clutch. I am willing to bet she may be het motley as well as amel. The saddles seem to point that way and they are like that for about 1/3 of her body length. I couldn't get any pics of her being still until feeding day, so I hope you people don't mind that they are all feeding pics. Anyway, here she is. Enjoy

Nice looking snake! No worries about all the photos being feeding pics. I understand how that goes. Sometimes, you just have to take what you can get. Besides, I like "dinner time" pics. I hope she'll produce some nice offspring for you someday.

Awesome, Scott! She purdy, and I don't mind a bit about the feeding shots, she gets to show off what a pig that emoryi side of her is. Cool.

Nice, Scott. That one's definitely on the corn end of the rootbeer spectrum.

Very nice - and great that she is from the yellow line of creams from Don - they are beautiful!! You will likely get some screamers if bred to a butter - the yellow really seems to come through with emoryi influence. I bred a butter to my creamsicle and the creamsicles from that are very yellow.

Best of luck with her and look forward to seeing many more pics of her and her offspring down the road.

rootbeer

Very nice rootbeer.
The babies from it to a butter should be nice.
I will say one thing though.
If Don knew it was het amel and told you but didn't tell you it was het motley then it will not be het motley.
He definitely knows.
I know it will be a little while down the road but update us if and when you get your "butter" creams.

Hmmmm.........

Butter Creams? Would they then be homo Caramel to qualify? I know that Don has been working with Butters and Caramels for quite some time. Seems that some snakes het for Caramel in Don's stock show signs of Caramel desent.

So many variables!

huh?

Geeze, now you got me thinking. Well, whatever the genetics of the offspring after I pair her to the butter or het butter, I bet they will be yellow...and purdy too! (I hope) Either way, If I sold any I would clearly indicate the 1/4 emoryi blood to any interested buyers. As far as them being homo for caramel....beats me. I would share all the "known" genetic info with any buyers as well.
