What I got at the PNWCB Expo

To start, I went to the show broke. I knew I couldn't buy anything. I met up with Kat (Midnightline) and we chatted for awhile and wandered around looking at stuff. Then we headed to the consignment table for the local herp society where I had some corns and rootbeers for sale. The deal was, they would send me a check in a couple weeks for whatever I sold. Well, it turns out that because I was in person to pick up what didn't sell, they handed me cash for what did sell. Ok, then I had a dilemma, I was holding just shy of $100 in my hand. Did I pay for the frozen mice my mouse pusher just threw at me (because he didn't want to take them back home - $90 for 500 hoppers, fuzzies and pinks, nice!) or did I go back to LLL's table and buy the gorgeous little Pueblacorn, which was the only snake in the place that I lusted for? Yeah, I know, tough choice. Not really! I trotted my butt over to LLL and picked up the Pueblacorn. I even got a little change back. I also traded off a corn and a little cash for a male MBK. I came home with the MBK, the Pueblacorn and three rootbeers that didn't sell. They went to a pet store today.

Sooo, here's the Pueblacorn. He's going to be an asset when I get those Super Pueblacorns next month. He doesn't have a name yet (the MBK is Wolfsbane, since my female is Belladonna). This is the only decent pic of him so far. He's got more red to his saddles and his orange is bright orange.

neat animal!

yeah, isn't it funny how you can go to a show dead broke and still manage to bring something home? I remember my college years! Now here I have some money but am holding back! I'm close to my critical mass point with the number of animals that I have. I'm seeing now where I can cut back and hope to stay at a level closer to 75 snakes instead of the around 100 that I have now!

I know that story, "I'm not going to buy anything"

I'm looking forward to a progression pic ! It's going to be good! Nice pick-up Kathy!

That's a pretty tough dilemma to be in, but I think a new snake is always the right choice.........we can worry about food later. LOL

Congrats on your newest pick-up Kathy.....great start to a new project.
