Our Jungle Corn...Alberta!
Our final juvie hybrid/intergrade acquisition for '06 was Alberta, a normal Jungle Corn. She is from Annette as well, and we hope eventually she will be partnered with Rio, our adult albino male JC, and perhaps a few of the corns as well to introduce some neat het traits for future project work.
Alberta is growing in leaps and bounds. Of all the baby hybrid hatchlings we acquired this summer, she has the bottomless appetite. She now wolfs down 2 fuzzies every week and still looks sheepishly for more. Here's Alberta...

She is a pretty one - very orange background coming in for a 50/50 jungle - most I have seen have either bright yellow or white background color. Is she 50/50? The wide borders do suggest the 50/50 cross but her head is very corn-like. Definitely a girl to watch!! She is a pretty one,
